Top picks for 2025…
It’s hard to pick one highlight in the last 12 months… as we can’t count them on all our fingers and toes.
1. ‘LIL GAY OUT’ CANNED
One of the most profound actions this year was the exposé of Hobsonville Point Secondary School’s annual event LIL GAY OUT, leading its cancellation.
Why was this a highlight?
Because… there was no protest. There was no legal action. There was no media coverage.
We simply researched, found some issues that concerned us, and informed the public by posting a video with our findings. We didn’t tell anyone what to do. We didn’t organise a march, we didn’t send a threatening letter.
We put information out. And the public did the rest. Peacefully. Intelligently. The media and the trans activists, and even the PPTA tried to make out otherwise. But they had nothing. Find out more here…
2. Presented at NZ First Convention
In May 2023 Penny Marie spoke at her local school board meeting… two and half years later she was invited to speak at a NZ political party convention, advocating on behalf of parents and children. Since 2023 Penny has become a familiar and consistent voice on behalf of NZ families.
Penny Marie advocates for prioritising PEOPLE OVER POLICIES, for PARENTS OVER PROCESSES. Policies and processes are important… but they must pass the sanity test of improving the health and wellbeing of the people to whom they are being applied to.

3. International connections
TORONTO, CANADA
2025 will be remembered as a year of forming international relationships… Penny was invited to testify at the Canadian National Citizens Inquiry in June, (and again, remotely, in November)…
WASHINGTON DC, USA
In September/October she met leaders of other grassroots parent-led groups similar to LKBK from 6 countries to undertake a range of opportunities in Washington DC. A summary is here.
Throwback to 2024
We’ll sign off with our Christmas message from 2024, because… it’s so good we want to share it again…
