The curious case of gender clinic branded toilet signs at Mount Maunganui College
Why is Gender Dynamix (a Tauranga gender clinic) promoting itself to kids? WARNING: This post contains images not suitable for children.
Prime Minister Chris Luxon had this to say in 2023
“Bathrooms is not a big topic for this election… You’re on a different planet if you want to have a conversation about bathrooms and make that an election issue”.
- Christopher Luxon, August 17 2023*
Let Kids Be Kids recently received a photo of a toilet sign at Mount Maunganui College, declaring ‘Inclusive Wharepaku’ with three icons (female, male and something that appears to be a blend of the two).
There are two sexes, and only two sexes.
If you have a penis you pee standing up: Use the mens room.
If you have a vagina, you pee sitting down: Use the women’s room.
There is no third biological function, when it comes to emptying ones bladder.
Why the corporate branding? On a toilet sign? In a school. What exactly is being advertised, and why?
Our interest was piqued. Who is Gender Dynamix? What business do they have contributing to signage in a public school?
Who is Gender Dynamix?
Gender Dynamix is a gender clinic in Tauranga. Their website explains that a ‘gender clinic’ is “Where your authentic self can thrive”. That’s insinuating that pupils can’t be their authentic selves at school. They need Gender Dynamix to thrive.
They explain that they are “Meeting the specific mental health, transitional and community needs of the Transgender and Nonbinary community of the Bay of Plenty”.
Are Gender Dynamix RESPONDING to a need, or CREATING a need that wasn’t there much, before?
The sign is clever branding, drawing attention to themselves and perhaps fishing for more clients amongst children as young as 13, who may well be feeling uncomfortable in themselves and attracted to the lure of being their “authentic” selves.
This gender clinic offers the following services:
Gender exploration and mental health help
Peer and group support
IPL Laser hair removal for people transitioning (e.g. males wanting to lose their male hairiness, to be more feminine)
Professional development (for people wanting to learn more about trans people).
Yes, some people require psychological assistance around their sexuality. But why does IPL get to be free (apart from a one-off $20 fee) for people who want to change their identity? IPL for people who are happy who they are sexually, must pay full price for this cosmetic service. Again, is this a lure?
Why so much corporate professional development required around gender?
(Refer to Part 3 of our recent roadshow for information on rainbow workplace policies).
What business does Gender Dynamix have in a high school bathroom?
And why over the past few years have schools installed bathrooms beyond males and females?
And why is advertising to these children allowed? Because that is what this sign is. It’s an advert. For students who have their curiosity piqued by the third so-called bathroom identity option.
If a student is curious enough to visit the clinics’ website, here’s what they’ll find:
A list of ‘rainbow’ organisations that Gender Dynamix recommends - it’s the usual suspects who are funded by the Government, Councils, Trusts and Foundations, and pitch their services at children and youth… InsideOut, Rainbow Youth, Gender Minorities Aotearoa etc.
Links to WPATH, PATHA and the Ministry of Education’s Inclusive resources list.
‘Gender affirming gear’ catalogue, which includes binders (for girls to flatten their chests), packers (fake penises for girls to pack out undies to make it look like they have male genitals)
Bras, underwear and swimwear for transgender people, including children.
Here are some examples.
Gender Dynamix has an interest in school-aged children and youth.
What may seem like a storm in a teacup, or in PM Chris Luxon’s words ‘on a different planet’… is in fact anything but. It’s not a different planet. It’s right here in New Zealand in our communities. And many people are very concerned about it.
The images above, of products and brands promoted on Gender Dynamix website, belong firmly in an R18 adult store, if anywhere. So… why is Gender Dynamix logo in a public school at all?
But the powers-that-be don’t want us talking about it
If we ask about it, the ‘hate crime’ trollers on social media pounce. Mainstream media won’t cover these stories. Journalists are expected to investigate goings-on in their communities and bring their findings to the public, but they won’t. Our watchdogs are either asleep, or assisting those paid to teach our kids that gender is a spectrum and that they need to be their authentic selves. Which may mean pretending to change their sex using surgery and drugs.
How did the signs get into the school?
A parent contacted the principal of Mt Maunganui College and found out the following:
In March 2022 a staff member contacted Gender Dynamix about the signs after seeing them in a BOP District Health facility.
A Gender Dynamix employee responded and offered to create the signs and include the school’s logo alongside their own.
In August 2022 the school purchased four of these signs (for three bathrooms plus a spare) for $200, from Gender Dynamix.
How clever of Gender Dynamix
Whether the school realises it or not, it is advertising Gender Dynamix to their students, AND the school paid for the Gender Dynamix ad. Usually when brands are displayed in schools, the organisation, charity or business has sponsored or supported the school in some way - given something back to the school. The arrangement here is that the school paid for the signs.
We have received reports that school-aged children go to the Gender Dynamix clinic in Tauranga.
Why are school-aged children being referred to clinics where they will be ‘affirmed’ that they are born wrong and the way to fix that is to be medically sterilised and castrated?
The New Zealand’s government health advice on ‘gender care’ is to affirm. Only.
Take a look at Te Whatu Ora Transgender and gender diverse tamariki and rangatahi. We know this is Gender Dynamix’s approach, because the links mentioned above, found on their website - for WPATH and PATHA have an ‘affirmation only’ model of ‘care’. Check out our story about them here.
Deciding to undergo permanent change on one’s body is a life altering decision for the child.
One that will render them unable to have children, and have other ‘no-going-back’ effects. It’s a one way trip and if there are regrets… too late.
Why is a minor who cannot vote, purchase alcohol or cigarettes, or get a tattoo - expected to know for sure that their ‘gender’ is wrong? And why can they access people, medication and surgery and support to permanently ‘fix’ their wrong body?
The issue appears to be, not that most people think this is a grand idea… but that most people don’t actually know that this is the dastardly plan for our children. Because much information is subverted, and those who want our children to think they are born wrong, want parents out of the picture. (Check out part 2 of our recent roadshow for evidence of this).
What adults do with their bodies is their choice.
If the gender clinic is pitching at adults only, that’s a different conversation. We are asking why are kids the target? We spoke to a trans man who has the same concerns. He doesn’t think children or teens should be put on this path.
Children and teens are under the care and guidance of their parents because, in most cases, parents love and protect their children from harm. Why then are children being influenced by therapists, clinicians, counsellors, support group leaders, teachers and surgeons? And why do some of these people put themselves in positions which diminish or remove parental authority and choice?
Mr Luxon, we have a problem on our hands.
In our homes, in our schools and communities. In our health system. In our education system. Not on ‘another planet’. Right under our noses.
A big concern about the promotion of ‘gender confirmation surgery’ (confirming what exactly?) for a child is that, for a child to get to the point where they think their salvation lies in sterilisation and castration (not the terms the gender clinics use of course - if they did, we doubt many would sign on the dotted line)…
Something else is going on for that child.
It may be trauma, abuse, grooming, manipulation, neglect, peer pressure, self loathing or online messages received and believed. How deep do counsellors and medical experts go to ask what brings a child to the point where they want this?
And what makes the child believe that drastic alterations to their body will suddenly make everything painful vanish, and heal their emotional distress? More de-transitioners are speaking out now - the answer is… none of these actions fixes things. They often cause more pain, ill health, pain, grief and anguish than before.
InsideOut, one of the many rainbow/LGBTQIA+ charities in NZ that receives lots of Govt, Trust and corporate funding, has suite of resources for encouraging kids to transition and ‘identify’ as something that they are not. This includes a ‘Gender Transition Support Plan template’.
How do you feel about an organisation like InsideOut offering this template to your child, or their counsellor or ‘diversity group’ coordinator?
Think it would’t happen to your child? We hear stories frequently from parents, friends of parents, and grandparents… this DOES happen in your town, and is doing so at rapidly increasing rates. It’s not a natural occurrence. It’s been created.
Follow the money
Gender Dynamix is a Charitable Trust. Their purpose is: “To provide support for transgender people in New Zealand and raise awareness through education with the aim to improve health outcomes for the transgender community...”
What they omit is that they don’t merely help people who already ARE these things. They help people BELIEVE that they are these things. That’s what the ‘affirmation model of healthcare’ is. Somewhere along the line a child’s identity is disrupted. Through trauma, incoming messages, peer pressure, ‘education’… and then the clinics and ‘health’ industry gets hold of them and funnels them into being a pharmaceutical client for life.
It’s not about kindness.
It’s about money, the destruction of the family unit and sterilising children.
In the financial year ended March 2024, Gender Dynamix received:
$468,705 in Government service delivery grants/contracts.
$174,908 in ‘Donations, fundraising and other similar revenue’.
Not content with all that support, they also have a Givealittle page. It says “We need your help so that trans people can live as their authentic selves without fear, discrimination or violence…We need your help so that trans people can live as their authentic selves without fear, discrimination or violence.”
There’s that word ‘authentic’ again. What is authentic about the images above?
What is this so-called ‘fear, discrimination and violence’?Are they trying to make out that people who question their pseudo-science are hateful? No, people who do are so concerned about this harm to children that it would be a crime to stay quiet.
Young people are taking their own lives after being medically and physically transitioned. Poor social and mental health outcomes are NOT being reversed by telling more children they are born wrong. What madness is society when this is considered a positive outcome?
In the latest Annual Report for Gender Dynamix:
How do you plan to use your charity's accumulated funds in the future?* - In the current social, economic, and political climate, trans healthcare is under attack. Gender Dynamix would like to be sustainable for future generations.
Trans ‘healthcare’ doesn’t appear to be under attack.
It appears to be well funded and supported by the Ministries of Education, Health, The Mental Health Foundation, most political parties and others. It’s supported by the media, it’s supported by Trusts… Some of the big hitters are: Tindall Foundation, Pride Pledge, COGS - Community Organisation Grants Scheme (I.E. the Govt), Lotto/Lottery Grants Board, and many local councils throughout New Zealand.
It is celebrated everywhere, every month. Never in society or in any religion has a group had so many ‘special’ days and exclusive events. Here’s a calendar of just some of the 2024 events here in NZ.
It IS an issue Mr Luxon.
Right here in New Zealand, and in our schools. Will you admit it and be part of the solution? Or will you yourself remain on another planet, and leave it to the parents and grandparents, and communities to sort out the mess society is in on this issue?

Final note
We are awaiting student data information, requested under the Official Information Act 1982, from Mt Maunganui. When we get it, we’ll post an update.
Most parents are completely unaware of what is being taught to our kids. Spread the word. This sort of identity disruption - taught under the well-meaning but very misguided guise of “inclusivity” and “kindness” - is actually really damaging to the vulnerable quirky / autistic kids who are much more likely to soak this up and fall down the gender rabbit-hole with their tendency to obsess, hyper-focus, and ruminate on identity issues. We need to stop messing with kids’ minds at such a tender stage of identity & psycho-social development. No wonder there’s a youth mental health crisis. Let kids be kids for goodness sake!
Half a human? Inclusiveness at its must riculous level.
